Father Justin Hurtado is the visionary Priest and Director of Ekklesia Iwiga, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering healing, renewal, and community through inclusive ministries rooted in faith and compassion. As the founder and leader of the ministry, Father Justin is committed to connecting people across spiritual traditions, guiding them on their spiritual journeys, and offering support in times of need. He oversees Ekklesia Iwiga’s three core ministries:

• Holy Spirit of Iwiga Parish (a global online parish)

• I.W.I.G.A.: Interfaith Wisdom, Guidance, and Assistance (pastoral care and chaplaincy)

• Spirit of Iwiga Community (outreach and renewal initiatives)

 

Father Justin holds a Ph.D. in Pastoral Counseling, awarded by the Old-Catholic's Ekklesia Epignostika Theological Seminary. This rigorous academic program integrated psychological principles with pastoral care, providing deep training in both spiritual guidance and emotional support. His education enables him to provide compassionate, spiritually-informed care, focused on personal growth, emotional resilience, and spiritual well-being.

 

As a board-certified chaplain and ordained Old-Catholic priest, Father Justin's ministry is rooted in the belief that spiritual care can provide profound healing and clarity. His work is not intended to replace licensed therapy, but to offer spiritual and emotional support within a faith-based context, especially for those navigating life transitions, grief, or seeking deeper meaning. Father Justin’s empathetic and non-judgmental approach helps individuals and families discover hope, strength, and resilience in the face of life’s challenges.

In addition to his pastoral work, Father Justin brings a wealth of experience from his background in human resources, where he served as a mentor and coach.
